Sladkowo ( Russian Сладко́во ) is a village (selo) in the Tyumen Oblast in Russia with 3303 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is about 350 km as the crow flies southeast of the Tyumen Oblast Administrative Center in the West Siberian lowlands . It is located between two lakes with no outflow, about 13 km from the border with Omsk Oblast and almost 30 km from the border with Kazakhstan .

Sladkowo is the administrative center of the Rajons Sladkowski and seat of the rural community Sladkowskoje selskoje posselenije, (11 km southwest) (5 km to the north) are among the also the villages Bolshoye (5 km SSW) Kotschkarnoje and Malinowo.

history

The village was first mentioned in 1782 and in 1797 the seat of a Volost. Since November 1923, Sladkowo administrative seat of an eponymous Rajons intermittently from 1 January 1932 to 25 January 1935, when the Rajon together with the north adjacent Abatski rayon for Masljanski rayon based in nearly 50 km northerly settlement Masljanski together and from February 1, 1963 to January 12, 1965, when the raion was dissolved and its territory belonged to the Kazansky rajon , based in Kazanskoye , 70 km to the west.

After Sladkowo the regional road leads 71N-1014/117/1402, the well-kilometers northwest 80 in Ishim from the federal highway R402 Tyumen - Omsk branches and initially to Masljanski the Trans-Siberian Railway follows, where nearest train station is Masljanskaja located.
