In 1671 a second fortress was built to house a monastery of European monks. In the period from 1720 to 1782 there was also a prison in the place. With the elevation of Tobolsk to a city, Issetskoye lost this status in 1782, which it had received in 1735.

In the summer of 1823, Prince Alexander III traveled . Together with Vasily Zhukovsky through Issetskoye, whose holiday home the village had been for a long time, and they got into such a heated argument among themselves that Zhukovsky threatened not to continue the trip.

Six of the 17 churches in the parish are made of stone.
