Southern Tagalog

Southern Tagalog is a former county in the Philippines . It included the provinces of Cavite , Laguna , Batangas , Rizal , Quezon , Aurora , Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro , Marinduque , Romblon and the island province of Palawan .

With Executive Order 103, signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo , District IV was divided into the districts CALABARZON (IV-A) and MIMAROPA (IV-B) with effect from May 17, 2002 . The province of Aurora was assigned to District III, Central Luzon , by the same resolution .
