Building description

The Gothic chapel is mentioned in a document in 1325. It probably had a choir tower . In 1684 the hall church was given its present form with a half-hip roof , which is now covered with slate , and an octagonal roof turret in the east, on which a curved hood sits. The oldest bell bears the year 1608. The originally associated bell yoke was destroyed in 1609. In 1989 a member of the congregation donated a second bell to replace the one lost in World War II . The rectangular choir is slightly drawn in. In 1879 the church was renovated.

Furnishing

The winged altar was built around 1510 and restored in 1996. It shows the coronation of Mary as the main picture . Next to it are Katharina on the left and Barbara on the right . In the wings on the festive page, Joachim appears on the left and Anna selbdritt on the right . The heavily damaged figures of Cyriacus and Laurentius can be seen on the back of the wings . The burst and the predella have been lost. On the east wall behind the altar is a large mosaic of Christ the Judges of the World. The baptismal font with a depiction of the baptism of Jesus on a relief is from 1684. A richly decorated chandelier dates from around 1780. The pulpit is modern.

A small organ on the gallery in the west has four stops , divided into a manual and a pedal . It was built by Friedrich Wilhelm Dornheim around 1870.
