Map with all coordinates: The State Road 282 (S 282) is a state road axes that connects in east-west direction Reichenbach in Vogt country with Kirchberg in Saxony and then on to snow mountain leads Ore. It serves as a motorway feeder for the communities of Heinsdorfergrund and Hirschfeld and the cities of Kirchberg and Schneeberg to the Zwickau-West junction of the federal motorway 72 .

The S 282 starts at the federal road 94 in the south of Reichenbach and then leads up the valley through the districts of Unterheinsdorf, Oberheinsdorf and Hauptmannsgrün of the municipality of Heinsdorfergrund to the outlying train station Voigtsgrün. In this area the road is rather narrow and not yet developed for long-distance traffic. From the point where it meets State Road 282a and State Road 293, it is built like a federal road. The A 72 is also crossed under the Voigtsgrün inn and shortly afterwards the Zwickau-West junction is reached. There are no longer any longer through-roads and the villages of Hirschfeld, Wolfersgrün and Kirchberg are bypassed, Hartmannsdorf near Kirchberg is crossed at its junction and the road now climbs the ridge of the Kleiner Hirschenstein (561 m) in the Hartmannsdorfer Forest with a steep ascent . From here it leads to its end with the confluence with the federal highway 93 above Weißbach an der Griesbacher Höhe shortly before Schneeberg.
