Stallhofen is a market town with 3152 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the judicial district or district of Voitsberg in Styria (Austria).

The community consists of the cadastral communities Aichegg, Kalchberg, Muggauberg, Raßberg and Stallhofen.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1954, the communities of Raßberg and Stallhofen were merged to form the community of Stallhofen.

  • Parish church : consecrated to St. Nicholas. The church is the oldest preserved building in the town. It has architectural styles from 3 epochs ( Romanesque , Late Gothic , Baroque ). The oldest part with a wooden flat ceiling between the tower and the fore-aisle, originally Romanesque, replaced by a Gothic vault around 1520. The presbytery was added at this time. At the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century, a 45 meter high defensive tower equipped with loopholes was built. Today the tower is also the church tower.
  • Gustinus Ambrosi Museum: the Austrian sculptor and poet Gustinus Ambrosi (1893–1975) designed his own retirement home in Stallhofen; Today the Gustinus Ambrosi Museum is located in the building
  • Krampus Museumand Antiques Museum : both museums are located in the Gasthof Rößl (Kirchenwirt)

The volunteer fire brigade is also represented in Stallhofen with around 100 members, five vehicles and a jet boat. Stallhofen is the water service base of the Voitsberg district.

One of seven police stations of the Voitsberg district police station was in Stallhofen until it was released at the end of June 2014 .
