Since the beginning of 2015, Hirschegg-Pack has been a municipality with 1013 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Voitsberg district in Styria . It emerged from the municipalities of Hirschegg and Pack, which were dissolved at the end of 2014 , as part of the municipal structural reform in Styria .

Geographical location

The community is nestled in western Styria between Packalpe and Stubalpe on the upper reaches of the Teigitsch . The highest peaks are Peterer Riegel ( 1993  m ) and Rappoldkogel ( 1928  m ). The largest standing water is the water-economically important Packer reservoir in the south of the municipality.

The two places Hirschegg and Pack together with the places Edelschrott , Modriach and St. Martin am Wöllmißberg form the Styrian Backpacking Villages Tourist Association.
