Stephanie Schimmer (born October 17, 1982 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author , director and actress .

Career

Growing up in Baden near Vienna , Schimmer began her theater career at the Volkstheater Vienna . Parallel to her private studies in spoken theater dramaturgy with Peter Simhandl, she started directing in spoken theater, performance and short films (including directing the short film Hybris, UTV, Votivkino Wien; performance When the flower woman got out of her pot, the life of Françoise Gilot with Pablo Picasso, NL40 Vienna). At the same time, the formerly active competitive fencer (Fechtunion Mödling) completed numerous courses in scenic fencing and stage fighting, etc. a. at the Academy of Fencing Art in Germany.

Engagements as assistant director, stage manager and fight choreographer led Schimmer u. a. To the Baden stage , the Frankfurt Opera , the Volksoper Vienna , the Graz Opera , the Opéra National de Bordeaux and the Opera House of the State Theater Nuremberg . Since September 2014 she has been the artistic director, dramaturge and in-house author of the Comödie Fürth . Her pieces as well as musical, operetta and comedy adaptations have been and will be recorded and broadcast by Bayerischer Rundfunk .
