Raul-Stig Rästa (born February 24, 1980 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR , USSR ) is an Estonian singer , producer , songwriter and guitarist . Together with Elina Born he represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 .
Life
Rästa has worked in various bands either as a member or producer, including as a soloist with Outloudz and as a guitarist with Traffic. In 2002 he founded the pop rock band Slobodan River with Tomi Rahula and Ithaka Maria. He took part eight times in the Eesti Laul , the Estonian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest, and was able to win the competition in 2015 together with Elina Born and the song Goodbye to Yesterday, which he wrote himself . The duo received a total of 79% of all caller votes in the superfinal of the best three. At the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, the duo then reached seventh place with 106 points.
