Tanel Padar
Tanel Padar (* 27. October 1980 in Haljala , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian singer and band member of The Sun . Together with this he is currently one of the most popular musicians of the pop genre in Estonia. In Germany, he could not achieve great fame.

With his victory in 1999 at the talent show Kaks takti ette , he made the leap into public attention. In 2001 he won the Estonian preliminary round for Estonia together with Dave Benton and the band 2XL and then the Eurovision Song Contest . In 2003 Padar founded the band The Sun , with which he became very popular. At the Estonian Music Prize 2006 Tanel Padar won 5 out of 15 possible prizes with The Sun , including the prize for the best album and the prize for the best band.
Private life
Tanel Padar played the clarinet and saxophone as a child and sang in church, children's and boys' choirs. He also danced in a folk dance group. Tanel Padar was married to the former model Katarina Kalda from 2003 to 2007 .
His sister Gerli is also a successful singer in Estonia, she entered the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest for Estonia.
