The Bobbysocks (1984–1988) were a Norwegian pop duo that consisted of Hanne Krogh and Elisabeth Andreassen .

Hanne Krogh represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest as early as 1971 with the song Lykken er… ( Eng. "Glück ist…") , Elisabeth Andreasson and Kikki Danielsson formed the duo Chips , which with Dag efter dag (Eng. " Day after day ”) won eighth place for Sweden at the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest .

After Elisabeth Andreassen's failure in the Swedish preliminary decision for the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest entitled Kärleksmagi , the two singers formed the duo "Bobbysocks", who won the 1985 Eurovision Song Contest in Gothenburg for Norway with La det swinge (Let It Swing) . After this victory, they gained great popularity and went on international tours. Another success of the duo was the song Waiting for the Morning . The duo existed until 1988.

In 1990 Elisabeth Andreassen entered the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with the title Jag ser en stjärna falla (Eng. "I see a star falling") and came in seventh. In 1991, Hanne Krogh became a member of the group “Just 4 Fun” at the Eurovision Song Contest 17. Elisabeth Andreassen performed in a duet with Jan Werner Danielsen in 1994 (they were 6th) and in 1996 with I evighet (German: “In eternity”; she became 2.) repeatedly for Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest .

Even after their separation in 1988, Andreassen and Krogh continued to perform together. In 2010 a best-of album was released, for which they recorded two new titles together.
