Lars Fredriksen

Lars A. Fredriksen (* 8. February 1971 in Skien ) is a Norwegian pop - singer , who at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1998 took part.

Lars Fredriksen started singing at an early age. He is best known in Norway as the soloist of many songs by the Oslo Gospel Choir , founded in 1988, for example with her Norwegian Christmas carol En stjerne skinner i natt ("A star shines in the night") in 1992, which was later included in numerous hymn books , translated into Swedish (En stjärna lyser så klar) and interpreted by numerous other singers, for example in Swedish by Carola Häggkvist . He traveled to different countries with the Oslo Gospel Choir and they sold over 700,000 CDs.

On February 28, 1998, Fredriksen won the Norwegian pre- selection Melodi Grand Prix for the Eurovision Song Contest with the title Altid sommer ( Eng : "Always Summer") by David Eriksen , so that he was allowed to drive for Norway to the competition in Birmingham . In Birmingham the song reached a good eighth place. In 1999 Fredriksen released the album Pleased to Meet You .
