Benny Borg

Artie Benny Borg (born November 13, 1945 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish singer . He has lived in Norway since 1969 .

Borg was touring Europe with the beat band Streaplers in the 1960s and also sang German-language hits. With the title Do you remember the spring he won 1968 at the International Schlagerfestival der Ostseeländer . In 1972 he won the Melodi Grand Prix together with Grethe Kausland and was therefore allowed to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest . The duo reached number 14 with the hit Småting . From this time he released albums, some together with his then wife Kirsti Sparboe . From 1974 he also had appearances with the music comedy group Dizzie Tunes . Borg is also known for his Elvis imitations or his Johnny Cash performances.
