Mattis Hætta (born March 15, 1959 in Masi ) is a Norwegian singer . He belongs to the Sami people . He worked as a pantomime and joiker .

Live and act

Together with Sverre Kjelsberg he won the Melodi Grand Prix in 1980 and was therefore allowed to compete for his home country at the 1980 Eurovisie Song Festival in The Hague . With the title Sámiid Ædnan , the duo landed at number 16. In the Norwegian charts, the title was number one for four weeks .
