The Soviet Sukhoi Su-10 ( Russian Сухой Су-10 ) was a project for a four- engine bomber plane . In favor of the Ilyushin Il-28 , it did not go into series production.

development

In 1946 a call for a jet bomber was issued. In addition to the Su-10, referred to as “Je” (Є) in-house, the Ilyushin Il-22 and Tupolew Tu-14 designs were created .

Suchoi's all-metal construction had a semi-glazed bow with a rigid B-20E automatic cannon and a manned stern stand with two B-20E automatic cannons. A remote-controlled stand behind the cockpit was also equipped with two B-20E's. The engine consisted of two pairs of the type Ljulka TR-1, each of which was staggered on the wing.

Shortly before the prototype was completed, the Su-10 program was canceled in early 1948. The machine ended up in the Moscow aviation institute MAI , where it served as a teaching piece.
