Sulzbach ( listen ? / I ) is a village in the cadastral municipality of Innernstein in the market town of Münzbach in the Perg district in Upper Austria . Audio file / audio sample

The geographic center of the Perg district is located in the village of Sulzbach, southwest of the Pimmelgut, at 361  m above sea level. A. The exact coordinates were determined at 14 ° 44 '16.9 "and 48 ° 16' 30.8".

The Sulzbach was mentioned as early as 1189. The name refers to the color of the water. The Middle High German "sulze" stands for "broth, salt water" and stands for the brown, dirty-looking color of the water.

Small monuments

In Sulzbach there are several small monuments that are maintained or renewed by the respective builders or their descendants.

  • Heilmann Chapel, also known as Heilmann Cross, is a brick building with a gable roof and contains a niche protected by an iron grille with a statue of the Sacred Heart and an image of the Virgin Mary. May services take place at the chapel.
  • Emhofer Cross on Mühlentalweg: The wooden cross with a picture commemorates a death in 1863 and was moved in 1957 and renewed in 1970 and 2006.
  • Tabernacle Statue: The granite column was erected in 2008 and blessed in 2009. It contains four reverse glass paintings with namesake cartridges of the responsible family.
  • Hubertus Chapel in Huber-Holz: The chapel was built by the Münzbach hunters near a Hubertus cross in 1983. In the chapel there is a statue of Hubertus by Heinrich Langeder. There is a rest area in front of the chapel.
