Saxenegg is a village in the cadastral municipality of Innernstein in the market town of Münzbach in the Perg district in Upper Austria . The Saxenegg castle ruin of the same name is located next to the north-eastern border in St. Thomas am Blasenstein .

geography

Saxenegg consists of scattered houses, is about 420  m above sea level. A. and had 140 inhabitants as of January 1, 2001.

The village is located in the north-west of the market town of Münzbach and borders in the north on the town of Unter Sankt Thomas in the market town and cadastral community of St. Thomas am Blasenstein , in the north-west on the town of Kemet, which is partly part of Rechberg and partly part of Windhaag, and the town of Kürnstein in the Cadastral municipality and local municipality Rechberg .

In the west, Saxenegg extends to the localities Altenburg , Freindorf in the cadastral community Altenburg in the local community Windhaag bei Perg and to the locality Holzmann , which belongs to the communities Rechberg and Windhaag .

The western border is formed by the Schwertmüllerbach.

Saxenegg belongs to the Aist-Naarn-Kuppenland spatial unit .

Small monuments

There are several small monuments in Saxenegg that are maintained or renewed by the respective builders or their descendants.

  • Statue: The three-part granite statue at the junction of the Kemet road has a metal cross and a niche with a picture of Mary and the child behind glass. The inscription contains the year 1763.
  • A martyr on the road to Pabneukirchen reminds of the fatal traffic accident in 1981.
  • Weirer Chapel: The chapel stands on the edge of the former footpath to St. Thomas am Blasenstein and commemorates a death in 1935. Inside, next to the cross, there is a statue of Mary, an image of the Sacred Heart and an image of the Virgin Mary .
  • Vorderhofberger Chapel: The chapel, built in 1895 on the Saxenegg goods road, houses the former hermit altar of the former monastery church and today's Münzbach parish church. The chapel was thoroughly renovated in 1993.
  • Emausbild (Vorderhofberger): The painted Emausbild in a wall niche on the wall was renewed in 1985.
  • Plank Chapel: After the road crossing was relocated, the post-war chapel was demolished and rebuilt at the new fork in the road. May services take place at the chapel.
