Obergaisberg is a village in the cadastral municipality of Innernstein in the market town of Münzbach in the Perg district in Upper Austria .

geography

The village is located in the southeast of the cadastral municipality of Innernstein and borders within it in the north to the village of Innernstein and in the southeast to the village of Untergaisberg . In the east, the part of the village of Innernstein in the cadastral community of Kreuzen in the market town of Bad Kreuzen borders Obergaisberg. In the west, the villages of Pilgram and Mollnegg in the cadastral municipality of Münzbach, which is also part of the market town of Münzbach, approach the town. In the southwest, Obergaisberg touches the village of Roisenberg in the cadastral municipality of Puchberg in Machland I in the municipality of Arbing and to the south the village of Hehenberg in the cadastral municipality of Puchberg in Machland II in the market municipality of Baumgartenberg .

Obergaisberg belongs to the Upper Austrian spatial unit Aist-Naarn-Kuppenland .

The height information within the village, which consists of scattered houses, is between 455  m above sea level. A. near the Holzer farm and 376  m above sea level. A. near the Schörgenhuber farm.

Small monuments

There are some small monuments in the village :

  • Vornwagner Chapel: an older chapel was demolished in 1989 when a goods road was being built. A new chapel was built nearby in 1991/92 and contains a statue of the Virgin Mary.
  • Kronegger wayside shrine: The chapel wayside shrine is on the former church path and contains a statue of the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus made of plaster.
  • Marterl at the Hirschenlehner Milchbankerl: The Marterl made of dark granite contains a relief of Christ's face and is reminiscent of an accident in 1957.
  • Vornwankner Chapel: The chapel was built in 1951 when six children returned from the Second World War and contains a statue of Fatima. The chapel was renovated in 1992.
  • Leeb Chapel: The new chapel, built in 1989 on the site of a chapel built in the 19th century, contains statues of Joseph and the Child, Sacred Heart, Saint Anthony and a Lourdes statue, as well as an image of the Lord's Supper.
  • Chapel at the Obergaisberger: The chapel was built in 1907 or 1914 and contains several oil prints and pictures and was restored in 2000/01.
  • Wayside shrine at the Schörgenhuber: The niche block column was blessed in 2003.
