Susanne Leutenegger Oberholzer (born March 6, 1948 in Chur ; resident in Bussnang , Goldingen and Solothurn ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

After studying economics at the University of Basel , which she completed with a licentiate , she worked as an economist and business journalist . She then studied law , also graduated with a licentiate, and became the central secretary of the Construction & Industry union . In 1999 she passed the lawyer exam in the canton of Baselland. From 2002 to 2008 she was a part-time cantonal judge.

Leutenegger was a member of the POCH . She represented the party from 1983 to 1989 in the district administrator of Basel-Landschaft and from 1987 to 1991 in the national council .

After the POCH was dissolved, it joined the Social Democratic Party (SP) in 1993. From the 1999 elections she was again a member of the National Council (re-elected in the 2003 , 2007 , 2011 and 2015 elections ). In December 2018, Samira Marti took her place .

Leutenegger Oberholzer is divorced and lives in Augst .
