Systematics of the plant kingdom

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The systematics of the plant kingdom deals with the establishment and updating of a systematics of plants and special systems of plant groups.

In the following system of the plant kingdom , a classification of all recent plant taxa is carried out down to the class level . It largely follows the 36th edition of the Strasburger textbook - Textbook of Botany . Further subsystems and corresponding references can be found, if necessary, in the relevant subgroups.

Kingdom Plantae

history

There are many different systems in the plant kingdom. One of the first modern systems came from De Candolle (1819). Historically important German-speaking systems are the systematics of plants according to Engler and the systematics of plants according to Wettstein . Until the breakthrough of systematics based on molecular genetics, the systematics of bedecktsamer according to Cronquist (1981) by the American botanist Arthur John Cronquist was also important for the system of flowering plants : this was also adopted in textbooks and standard works such as Strasburger or Schmeil-Fitschen . The system of the Bedecktsamer according to Tachtajjan is similar to that of Cronquist . Today, the most important system of opaqueness is the system of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group formulated in four publications in 1998, 2003, 2009 and 2016 .
