Tawny Kitaen

Julie "Tawny" Kitaen (born August 5, 1961 in San Diego , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Julie Kitaen's parents were Terry Kitaen, who worked for a neon advertising company, and Linda Taylor Kitaen, a housewife and former beauty queen. At the age of 12 Julie began to use the name Tawny (English "yellow-brown") of her own accord . Kitaen attended Pacific Beach Junior High and Mission Bay High School in San Diego but did not graduate. She moved to Los Angeles in 1981 with her boyfriend, guitarist Robbin Crosby . The relationship continued there for a while before the couple broke up.

Career

Kitaen started her career as a model for blue jeans . Her acting career began in 1983 with a supporting role in a television movie called Malibu . Kitaen was in 1984 by the role of Debbie alongside Tom Hanks in the movie Bachelor Party known. Her best-known role is that of Gwendoline in the French feature film of the same name by the film director and fashion photographer Just Jaeckin from 1984. The film is based on the sadomasochistic comic book character Sweet Gwendoline created by John Willie . In 1986 she played the leading role in Kevin S. Tenney's horror film Witchboard and in the romantic music film Corazón de cristal . In Corazón de cristal (Crystal Heart) she played the pop singer and sang in the film "Don't Touch the Heart", which later appeared as a music video, with a scene from Crystal Heart.

In August 1982, at the request of her ex-boyfriend Robbin Crosby, who was now playing for Ratt , Kitaen made herself available for a photo shoot that took place for the design of the group's first EP with photographer Neil Zlozower . Her legs are shown in black tights, red high heels, and studded with white rats. On the cover of the group's debut album , Out of the Cellar , Kitaen can be seen lolling on the floor in a black, torn dress. In the music video of the group Back for More , she is standing in front of a jukebox as a girl in 50s rock. During her relationship with Whitesnake group lead singer David Coverdale , Kitaen had several roles in the group's music videos. The music video for Here I Go Again shows how she lolls on the hood of a white and black Jaguar in a white negligee and does a splits. She also appeared in the Whitesnake music videos Is This Love and Still of the Night and in 1989 in the videos for Fool For Your Loving and Deeper The Love . Kitaen married David Coverdale in 1989, and they divorced in 1991.

TV

Kitaen was able to translate the popularity resulting from their music videos into several television contracts. She co- hosted Dave Coulier on America's Funniest People from 1992 to 1994 and made regular appearances on the Cincinnati sitcom The New WKRP from 1991 to 1994 . Kitaen had several guest appearances on episodes of the sitcom Seinfeld (1991). She played Dominique, the highest paid lingerie model in the world, in The Big Money Dream of the series A Terribly Nice Family (1994) . In the role of Deianira Kitaen appeared on the side of Kevin Sorbo in three Hercules TV adaptations in 1994 and subsequently had other appearances in the regular TV series Hercules . From 1992 to 1996 she dubbed the animated series Eek! The Cat the character of Annabelle. In 1997 she married the baseball - pitcher Chuck Finley. Kitaen took part in the March 2006 sixth season of the US reality show The Surreal Life on VH1 . In the season finale, there were dramatic scenes after Kitaen heard from a phone call that her fiancé had fired her assistant Kevin because he wanted to tell her that her fiancé was having an affair with her manager. Kitaen took part in the 2nd season of the reality TV show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew participated and was escorted during a drug rehab.

Conflicts with the law

On December 13, 2001, Kitaen was arrested in Newport Beach for allegedly damaging another woman's vehicle.

On April 1, 2002, she was arrested again in Newport Beach and charged with domestic violence and assault against her husband, Chuck Finley. Finley filed for divorce three days after the incident.

Shortly thereafter, as part of the process, Kitaen stated that it had developed an addiction to prescription drugs for depression and migraines . Finley was given temporary custody of the children together. On the basis of an agreement with the public prosecutor's office, Kitaen undertook to undergo an addiction treatment and courses in conflict and aggression management. She also pledged to donate US $ 500 to an institution for battered women, in exchange for two counts being dropped.

In November 2006, Kitaen was charged with possession of 15 grams of cocaine . The drug was seized from her property in San Juan Capistrano , Orange County . According to the public prosecutor's office, both of Kitaen's children were present during the search, and Kitaen had agreed to the search. In December 2006, Kitaen embarked on a six-month rehabilitation program, in return the drug possession lawsuit was dropped.
