action

On the 100th anniversary of the founding of Antonio Bay , a strange, unnatural mist spreads from the sea over the island city. It turns out that in the fog are the ghosts of murdered sailors who want to take revenge for the atrocities committed on them.

The ghosts kill several residents of the place. The couple Nick and Elizabeth, Nick's buddy Spooner and radio presenter Stevie are fighting for survival. Elizabeth in particular seems to have a special connection with the ghosts, as she has been plagued by nightmares for some time in which she sees people burning and drowning. Elizabeth and her friends soon learn the gruesome truth: A hundred years ago, seamen with leprosy who sought shelter in Antonio Bay were betrayed, murdered and robbed by city leaders. Now the spirits of the murdered want to take revenge on the descendants of the founding fathers, who also include Nick, Elizabeth and Stevie.

In the end, all of the offspring except Nick, Stevie and their son are killed. Spooner, whose ancestors came from Chicago, also survived. Elizabeth, who seems to be a kind of reincarnation of the wife of Blake, the leader of the then murdered lepers, disappears along with the ghosts who have now found their peace.

"Uninspired remake of John Carpenter's The Fog (1979), which overdraws illogical plot elements with striking shock effects."
