Reviews

“The war in Palestine in 1917: An Australian volunteer unit of the light cavalry fights alongside the English against Germans and Turks allied with them. To turn the grueling desert war around, the surprise attack on the strategically important city of Beersheba takes place. The song of praise for comradeship and heroism is explained by the special situation of the young Australian nation, which is struggling for its own historical identity. Staged effectively, but not speculatively. "
