This Jenny (2007)

Matthias "This" Jenny (born May 4, 1952 in Glarus ; † November 15, 2014 there ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( SVP ).

biography

Jenny was a Swiss Certified builder and owner of the high- and Tiefbauunternehmung Toneatti & Co. in Bilten (GL).

From 1986 to 2000 he was a member of the Glarus City Council . From 1994 to 2014 he was a member of the District Administrator of the Canton of Glarus and from 1998 to 2014 the Council of States . Jenny presided over the SVP of the Canton of Glarus from 1992 to 2003. He was also a member of the NEAT supervisory delegation . Jenny dominated the annual British-Swiss Parliamentarian Ski Race in Davos , and in 2014 he won the race for the 15th time.

On February 13, 2014, Jenny resigned from the Council of States for health reasons, he suffered from a malignant stomach tumor . On November 15, 2014, he passed his life with the help of the euthanasia organization Exit .

Jenny was divorced and had two children.
