Thomas Gumpert

Thomas Gumpert (born December 11, 1952 in Lauchhammer ; † January 7, 2021 ) was a German actor .

Life

Education and theater

From 1972 to 1976 he studied acting at the Hans Otto Theater School in Leipzig . Since 1972 he has played regularly in the German National Theater in Weimar . He also had engagements in the Schauspielhaus and Theater im Palast Berlin , the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater Hamburg , the Theater Dortmund , the TAT Frankfurt and the Schaubühne Berlin . In 2012 he took on the leading role alongside Felix Isenbügel in the thriller Death Trap by Ira Levin at the Berlin Criminal Theater. In 2013 he played the leading role in Sebastian Fitzek's psychological thriller The Soul Breaker in the Berlin premiere at the Berlin Criminal Theater .

From 2003 to 2008 Gumpert played within the ARD - Soap Forbidden love the role of Johannes Graf von Lahnstein ; the figure was killed in a plane crash in January 2008.
