Tim Wallace began his career as a hockey player in the USA Hockey National Team Development Program , for which he was active from 2000 to 2002 in the junior leagues United States Hockey League and North American Hockey League . He then attended the University of Notre Dame for four years , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . In the 2006/07 season , the winger made his professional ice hockey debut for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins from the American Hockey League , where he played in parallel for the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL .

On May 29, 2007, Wallace also signed a contract as a free agent with Wilkes-Barre / Scrantons cooperation partner Pittsburgh Penguins . Initially, he was also used exclusively for their AHL farm team Wilkes-Berre / Scranton in the 2007/08 season , with whom he only failed in the playoff final for the Calder Cup against the Chicago Wolves . From 2008 Wallace was occasionally for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League on the ice if these players were injured, but he continued to play almost exclusively for their farm team in the AHL.

In July 2011, the striker was signed by the New York Islanders on a one-season two-way deal. They put him on the waiver list shortly before the trade deadline , from which the Tampa Bay Lightning selected him on February 23, 2012. In July 2012, he signed a two-way contract with the Carolina Hurricanes as a free agent . In August 2013 he moved to Europe and joined the newly promoted Örebro HK from Svenska Hockeyligan before moving to Brynäs IF within the league in December 2014 .

From September 2015 Wallace was under contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg in the German Ice Hockey League .

International

For the United States , Wallace took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2002 , where he and his team were world champions. He contributed to this success with two goals and five assists in eight games.
