The Tournament of Nations 2018 was the second edition of this tournament for women's national football teams and took place between July 26 and August 2, 2018 in the USA . It was the second four-nation tournament of the year in the USA after the SheBelieves Cup 2018 . As in 2017, participants were world champions and hosts USA, Asian champions and runner-up world champions Japan, South American champions Brazil and runner-up Asian champions and last year's winner Australia. The tournament was the second highest-filled invitation tournament of the year. The four teams finished 1st, 6th, 7th and 8th in the FIFA world rankings of 22 June 2018.

The venues were Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City , Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford and Toyota Park in Bridgeview . All three stages have natural grass.

FIFA classifies the matches as friendly matches, so that each team could make up to six substitutions per match. The winner of the tournament was the team with the most points. Since Australia and the USA were tied, the goal difference from all games decided on the placement. Other criteria such as the total number of goals scored, the direct comparison and, most recently, the FIFA ranking were not used.
