Tracie Thoms
Tracie Thoms (born August 19, 1975 in Baltimore , Maryland ) is an American actress and singer .
Life
Tracie Thoms lived in Baltimore when she was a child. At the age of nine, she watched Junior Star Search and realized that she wanted to be an actress. She graduated from the Baltimore School of Art in 1993 with a “Very Good” grade and received a BFA degree from Howard University in “Art”.
Her first appearance on American television had in the series As If of UPN in the role of Sasha. However, the series was canceled after three episodes. She also played the role of Mahandra McGinty in the American series Wonderfalls , which aired on FOX .
From 2005 to 2010 she was in the series Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten , in which she played former drug investigator detective Kat Miller and was a permanent member of the homicide squad.
