The Tschepza ( Russian Чепца ; udmurtisch Чупчи , Tschuptschi ) is a left tributary of the Vyatka in the European part of Russia .
course
The Tschepza rises in the extreme west of the Perm region in the southwestern Kama Heights . It initially flows in a southerly direction, after about 20 km it reaches the border with the Udmurt Republic , where it initially swings to the west and then to the northwest.
It then flows through the northeastern Udmurtia in a very curvy way , before turning north after the confluence of the Losa . It passes the town of Tschepza and turns west. Shortly before Balesino it turns again in north-westerly directions.
After the Tschepza Glasow has passed, it flows to the west, where it reaches the border with the Kirov Oblast shortly after the confluence of the Lekma . It flows through the east of the oblast to the west until it flows into the Vyatka at Kirowo-Chepetsk east of Kirov .
use
During the ice-free period from late April / early May to November, the Tschepza is navigable for 135 km from its mouth.
The river is rich in fish, including bream , roach , tench , catfish , pike and sander .
