Otschor ( Russian Очёр ) is a city in the Perm region ( Russia ) with 14,238 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The city is located in the foothills of the Middle Urals about 120 km west of the regional capital Perm on the Ochor River of the same name , a right tributary of the Kama .
Otschor is the administrative center of the Rajons of the same name .
history
Otschor was created in 1759 in connection with the construction of an ironworks by the Stroganow family and received town charter in 1950.

Otschor has a local museum.
economy
In Otschor there is a machine factory (devices for laying pipelines ) and a food industry. Crude oil is produced in the Rajon ( Ochorskoye and Trawninskoye deposits ).
