Administrative division of the Perm Krai
The Perm region in the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation is divided into 42 Rajons and 6 urban districts . A total of 33 urban and 284 rural communities are subordinate to the Rajons (status: 2010).
Six of the Rajons as well as the Kudymkar District formed an independent federation subject , the Komi-Permyak Autonomous Okrug , until December 1, 2005 , before they were merged with the early Perm Oblast and the new Perm Krai was created. These territories still have a special status within the Perm region under the name Komi-Permjak district (Komi-Permjazki okrug ) (highlighted in gray in the tables).
