Finals
In the preliminary round you could win all three preliminary round games. You clearly prevailed as group first against the other teams. In the quarter-finals you met the North Korean selection, which you could defeat 2-0. In the semifinals you could win against South Korea 5: 1 and thus qualify for the final in your own country. There they met in Bielefeld on the Nigerian team that had defeated Colombia in the semifinals . The final ended 2-0 for Germany, after which the German team was not only able to receive the U-20 women's world cup and gold medals, but also the golden shoe for the top scorer and the golden ball for the best player of the tournament stayed in Germany , because Alexandra Popp received both awards.
