The Basler Straße underground station is a station on the Munich underground . It opened on June 1, 1991.

The station is located under Züricher Straße, the street that gives it its name is named after the Swiss city of Basel . The back track walls consist of bored piles that have been left rough and gray. In addition, a devil peeps out of the wall, through which the architect and cartoonist Ernst Hürlimann alludes to the characters from the Basel Carnival . The ceiling consists of sheet metal panels that are shaped into a square canopy. The platform, designed with the Isar pebble motif, is illuminated by two light strips. In addition, a lot of daylight penetrates the station through the mirrored elevator shaft. The drive for the elevator was housed in an oval advertising column on the platform due to lack of space. Basler Straße can be reached via the lift. At the western end you can reach Basler Straße via a small mezzanine floor and at the east end.
