The Thalkirchen subway station is a train station of the Munich subway in the Thalkirchen district .
The station opened on October 28, 1989. It is so close to the surface that it can be reached via ramps. The ceiling is designed similarly to the Brudermühlstraße underground station . It is shaped like a canopy and consists of white sheet metal panels arranged across the tracks, which are repeatedly interrupted by yellow ones. The back track walls consist of white tiles on which animal pictures are painted, which are supposed to remind of the nearby Hellabrunn Zoo . In the mezzanines, there are also pictures of animals on the walls and mosaics on the floor. All murals are by the Munich artist Ricarda Dietz . The platform is laid out with an Isar pebble motif, which are arranged as rhombuses, and is illuminated by two light strips on the edge of the canopy. At the south end, a ramp leads over a mezzanine into Isarufer-Park. At the northern end, Zennerstraße can be reached via a barrier floor.
