The UCI Women's WorldTour 2020 (WWT) will be the fifth edition of the Women's WorldTour racing series organized by the UCI .
New to the Women's WorldTour calendar is the women's race of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race , while the Spanish Emakumeen Bira stage race and the British Prudential RideLondon Classique one-day race have been discontinued. The Tour of California planned as part of the series has been canceled, as has the men's race of the same name.
Due to official requirements in connection with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy , the Strade Bianche race scheduled for the beginning of March has been canceled. The organizer said he was trying to catch up on the race at another time. As a further consequence, the Trofeo Alfredo Binda was moved to June 2nd. The Ronde van Drenthe was canceled .
On May 5, 2020, the UCI announced the new racing calendar for the WorldTour, which, in addition to numerous postponements, also took into account the pandemic-related cancellations of the Ronde van Drenthe , the Trofeo Alfredo Binda, which had previously been postponed from March 22 to June 2, and the Women's Tour . The first edition of a women's version of Paris-Roubaix, previously not planned for 2020, has been added . The Giro dell'Emilia and the Prudential RideLondon Classique, originally no longer planned for 2020, have been added . In addition to the eight UCI Women's WorldTeams, the UCI Women's Continental Teams can take part in the 2020 Women's WorldTour competitions. Seven UCI Women's Continental Teams are to be invited to all competitions as well as the UCI Women's WorldTeams by the race organizers due to the placement of the first UCI World Ranking List in 2020 ; the other teams can participate through wildcards .
Points for the individual and overall classification can be achieved in all competitions of the series according to the point scale of the UCI world rankings . The best young riders receive 6, 4 and 2 points for the U23 classification.
