Quota for women

At the TU Eindhoven only 15–16% of all professors are women. The director has started a program to counteract this. The TU started a program on July 1, 2019, which should last 5 years. Only women will be hired during the project and will receive an allowance of € 100,000 on top of your starting salary. If not all positions can be filled by women, men may be employed. The director refers to European law, according to which universities can preferentially recruit from underrepresented population groups. Critics of this measure speak of discrimination against men on the basis of their gender.
