Career

society

After his youth at Melhus IL, Lehn moved to the neighboring city of Trondheim in 1994 and played for Trondheims-Ørn SK from 1994 to 2002 . She was with the club six times Norwegian champion and cup winner . In the 2001/02 season she reached the quarter-finals of the newly created UEFA Women's Cup with her team , but failed there at the Finnish champions HJK Helsinki . With the game she said goodbye to Trondheim and moved to the USA to Carolina Courage . With the new club she took first place in the Women's United Soccer Association in 2002 after the league round and then also won the playoff final for the Founders Cup II. Here she also played with her national teammate Hege Riise and the German national player Birgit Prinz , who contributed two of the three goals to the 3-2 final victory. The following season did not go so well, only the penultimate place was taken. Then the WUSA ceased operations and Lehn moved back to Trondheim. There she was runner-up again in 2004 and 2006. After that, the club never got past 5th place. In the 2004/05 UEFA Women's Cup , they failed with Trondheim in the semi-finals at the eventual winner 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . She played her last league game on November 3, 2007. In total, she played for Ørn 409 games, in which she scored 111 goals.

National team

Lehn played twelve games for the Norwegian U-16 team in 1992 and 1993, including the Nordic Cups in Denmark (1992) and the Netherlands (1993). With the U-20 team, she took part in the Nordic Cup in the older age group in 1994, 1995 and 1996 and was able to win it in 1996, scoring the 1-0 winner in the final against Denmark.

28 days later, Lehn made his debut on August 31, 1996 at the age of 19 in the Norwegian national team, playing against Slovakia in qualifying for the 1997 European Championship . It was the first game after the 1996 Olympic Games in which the Norwegians had won the bronze medal as reigning world champions . She was in the starting line-up for the game, but was replaced after 57 minutes. She was then used in the next six games and won the Algarve Cup with Norway in 1997 , scoring her first international goal in the 3-0 in the last group game against Denmark . At the three-nation tournament in May 1997 it was not used. At the European Championship finals in her home country in July, she was back in the squad and was used in the three group games. The Norwegians could only live up to their favorite role in the 5-0 win in the first group game against Denmark . Against defending champions Germany it was enough to draw a goalless draw, but after a 2-0 draw against Italy the Norwegians were eliminated after the preliminary round. In March 1998 she was able to win the Algarve Cup again - to this day the last title of the Norwegians in the Algarve . At the Algarve Cup 1999 , in which the Norwegians only finished third, she was not used. At the 1999 World Cup , she was one of the regulars again and after three victories in the group and a 3-1 in the quarter-finals against permanent rivals Sweden, her team was well on the way to defending its title, but then had a 0-5 in the semifinals. Accept defeat against China , next to a 0: 5 defeat in August 1985 against Sweden, the highest international defeat for the Norwegians. After all, the Norwegians qualified for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney by reaching the semifinals , and there they won the gold medal with their team. In the final against the USA she was substituted on in the 34th minute when the score was 0: 1. After their team equalized a minute before the break and took the lead in the 78th minute, they had to accept the equalizer in the second minute of stoppage time. In the 102nd minute, a golden goal from Dagny Mellgren succeeded in winning. It is the only Olympic final that was decided by a golden goal.

At the EM 2001 she failed with her team in the semi-finals against the old and new European champions Germany. At the 2003 World Cup , they were eliminated in the quarter-finals against defending champions USA .

On May 27, 2004, she made her 100th international match in qualifying for the EM 2005 against Denmark . At the European Championship finals, she reached the final with her team, in which she was not used and the Norwegians lost 1: 3 to the German team. After playing in eleven out of twelve games in 2006, there were only three games in 2007 and she was disappointed that, despite her good form, she was not considered for the 2007 Algarve Cup . Their last game was a 1-0 defeat against the USA on July 14, 2007. The following 2007 World Cup , in which the Norwegians finished fourth, took place without them.

Lehn made 134 international matches and scored 24 goals.
