Valentina Evgenjewna Gunina ( Russian Валентина Евгеньевна Гунина , English spelling used by FIDE : Valentina Gunina ; born February 4, 1989 in Murmansk ) is a Russian chess master .

Life

Walentina Gunina already distinguished herself as an excellent chess player as a girl and youth player. She won gold four times at European and World Championships for women: She was U12 European champion in Kallithea (2000), U14 world champion in Kallithea (2003), U16 European champion in Ürgüp (2004) and U18 world champion in Kemer (2007 ).

In 2009, Valentina Gunina was third at the Russian Women's Championships in Moscow .

In August 2011 she won the women's national championship of Russia for the first time in Moscow with 6.5 points from 9 games . In March 2012 she won the European Women's Chess Championship in Gaziantep after a victory in the last round against the leading Anna Musychuk . Gunina scored 8.5 points from 11 games and had the best rating with an Elo rating of 2660 . In June 2012, she won in Batumi , the women's Blitz Chess Championship . In 2013 she again won the Russian national women's championship in Nizhny Novgorod , as well as in Kazan in 2014 . In July 2014 she was again individual European champion in Plovdiv . In December 2016 Gunina became the 33rd-seeded within the framework of the London Chess Classic discharged Super Rapid Play . In April 2018, she won the European Women's Championship for the third time in Vysoké Tatry .
