Venn is a district of the Mittelstadt Wegberg in the district of Heinsberg in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Venn is located northwest of Wegberg. The nature reserve Schwaamer- and Lüttelforster Bruch connects to the north and east .

history

Venn is located north of Merbeck and in earlier times belonged to the parish of Niederkrüchten and until 1971 with Merbeck also to the civil parish of Niederkrüchten. Venn has been part of the Merbeck parish since 1819.

Infrastructure

In June 2011 there were 69 people living in Venn. There is a farm here as well as a horse farm and small businesses. A bus and school bus stop provides connections to the schools as well as to the cities of Wegberg, Erkelenz and Mönchengladbach .
