Administrative division of Tula Oblast
The Tula Oblast in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation is divided into 19 Rajons and 7 urban districts (or entities equivalent to them, as of 2015). A total of 40 urban and 109 rural communities are subordinate to the Rajons (status: 2010).
In 2014, the Leninsky rajon was dissolved and its territory was incorporated into the Tula district and the Alexin and Yefremov districts were newly formed from the former rajons.
