Novogurowski ( Russian: Новогуровский ) is an urban-type settlement in the Tula Oblast in Russia with 3590 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is located about 35 km as the crow flies northwest of the Tula Oblast Administrative Center and 15 km east of the city of Alexin on the Potryasovka river, not far from its confluence with the right-hand Oka tributary, the Vashana .

Nowogurowski is the only town in the district of the same name .

history

The place was founded in 1946 not far from the village Gurowo in connection with the construction of a cement factory; his name means "New Gurowo". On February 22, 1966, the settlement was Pervomaisky of Rajons Alexinsky incorporated and granted the status of urban-type settlement.

As part of the municipal administrative reform in Russia, the Novogurowski municipality was spun off from the Rajon on January 1, 2006 and has since formed an independent urban district.

Three kilometers south of Novogurovsky is the station Suchodol at kilometer 256 of 1874 opened railway Vyazma  - Kaluga  - Tula - Ryazhsk .

The M2 federal trunk road runs a good ten kilometers east of the settlement from Moscow to Belgorod and to the Ukrainian border in the direction of Kharkiv . From there the regional road 70K-013 leads to the place, further as 70K-004 to the six kilometers west running 70K-003 Tula - Alexin.
