traffic

The station Kulikowo Pole is located in Kurkino , today the end point at 102 km of a railway line from Tschaplygin (station Ranenburg ) via Lev Tolstoy and Dankow . The line was opened in 1899 as part of the connection via Sukhinichi to Smolensk of the then Ryazan-Uralsk Railway . The section from Kulikowo Pole to the west via Wolowo to Tjoploje was closed in 1995 and dismantled in the 2000s. The station was first called Kurkino, but was given its current name in 1911 in memory of the battle on the Kulikowo Pole , which took place in 1380 in the area north of the later town.

The regional road 70K-059 leads to Kurkino from the north-west neighboring district center Bogorodizk on the federal trunk road M4 Don, about 50 km away . In a westerly direction, the 70K-129 also runs to the M4 north of Jefremow .
