Vimmerby Hockey was founded in 1993. The team was promoted to third-class Division 1 in the 2010/11 season . In this, the team finished sixth in the intermediate round, the AllEttan, in the 2011/12 season . Since then, the team has been playing in the third tier of the league, now known as hockeyettan .
