Vin de Pays des Collines de la Moure is a wine-growing region belonging to the French Vin de Pays category in the Languedoc region . It is located in the Hérault department . It roughly corresponds to the two AC regions, Muscat de Frontignan and Muscat de Mireval . This country wine is produced by 27 communities between Sète and Montpellier and its hinterland up to a height of 200  m . The soil is predominantly clay, towards the south it is more calcareous. The vines are mainly planted on the east and south-east slopes and are therefore quite well protected against the cold north winds. The wines are produced in roughly equal parts by private wineries and cooperatives .

Mainly red wines from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon , Carignan , Cinsaut , Grenache Noir , Merlot and Syrah are grown and expanded. The rosé wines make up 15% of the quantity. White wine is made exclusively from Trebbiano , which is called Ugni Blanc here, but only accounts for around five percent of the market volume. Well-known producers are Domaine de Terre Mégère, Mas de Bayle and Domaine de Valmagne.

The regulation on the labeling and marketing of Vin de Pay des Collines de la Moure is regulated in the decree of January 25, 1982. The vineyards are spread over the municipalities of Mèze , Villeveyrac , Bouzigues , Poussan , Balaruc-le-Vieux , Balaruc-les-Bains , Frontignan , Vic-la-Gardiole , Gigean , Fabrègues , Mireval , Montbazin , Cournonsec , Cournonterral , Saussan , Pignan , Saint-Jean-de-Védas , Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone , Lavérune , Murviel-lès-Montpellier , Juvignac , Celleneuve , Montarnaud , Montpellier, Saint-Paul-et-Valmalle , Grabels and Saint-Georges-d'Orques as well as Argelliers .
