Saint-Georges-d'Orques ( Occitan : Sant Jòrdi d'Òrcas ) is a commune in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region of France . It has 5397 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and belongs to the Arrondissement of Montpellier and the Canton of Pignan . The inhabitants are called Saint-Georgia .

Saint-Georges-d'Orques is located about eight kilometers west of Montpellier at the foot of the Gardiolemassif. Saint-Georges-d'Orques is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Grabels in the north, Juvignac in the east, Lavérune in the south, Pignan in the southwest, Murviel-lès-Montpellier in the west and Montarnaud in the northwest.

Saint-Georges-d'Orques is part of the Vin de pays des Collines de la Moure wine-growing region .
