Lansargues ( Occitan : Lançargues ) is a commune in the department of Herault in the region Occitan in southern France . It has 3,112 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It belongs to the arrondissement of Montpellier and the canton of Mauguio .
geography
Lansargues is located about 17 kilometers east-northeast of Montpellier in the Petite Camargue with the Cevennes in the north. In the south is the Mediterranean lagoon Étang de l'Or . Lansargues is surrounded by the neighboring communities Valergues in the north, Lunel-Viel in the northeast, Saint-Just in the east, Marsillargues in the east and southeast, Mauguio in the southwest (across the lagoon), Mudaison in the west and Saint-Brès in the northwest.
The station is on the Tarascon – Sète-Ville line .
