Mudaison ( Occitan : Mudason ) is a commune in the department of Herault in the region Occitan in southern France . It has 2,593 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Montpellier and the canton of Mauguio .
geography
Mudaison is located about 13 kilometers east-northeast of Montpellier in the Petite Camargue with the Cevennes in the north. Mudaison is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Brès in the north, Lansargues in the east, Candillargues in the south and south-east, Mauguio in the south and south-west, Saint-Aunès in the west and Baillargues in the north-west.
The station is on the Tarascon – Sète-Ville line .
