The canton of Mauguio is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Montpellier , in the department of Hérault and in the region of Occitania . It has 50,888 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Yvon Bourrel ( DVG ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2011 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Mauguio included the six municipalities of Candillargues , La Grande-Motte , Lansargues , Mauguio , Mudaison and Saint-Aunès . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​134.35 km ² . Before 2015 he had the INSEE code 3419.
