The canton of Frontignan is a French constituency in the arrondissement of Montpellier , in the department of Hérault and in the region of Occitania . It has 50,063 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Pierre Bouldoire and Sylvie Pradelle, both ( PS ) , have been representatives in the General Council of the Département since 2015 .

In the course of the redesign of the cantons in France 2014/15, the number of communes in the canton remained the same, but the commune of Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone was assigned to the canton of Pignan ; the municipality of Gigean , previously in the canton of Mèze , was added to the canton of Frontignan. Its layout corresponded to an area of 98.54 km 2 . Before 2015 he had the INSEE code 3412.
