Vladimir Stojković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Владимир Стојковић ; born July 28, 1983 in Loznica , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football goalkeeper who is under contract with the Serbian first division club FK Partizan Belgrade .

Career

In the club

Stojković began his goalkeeping career at FK Zemun in 2003. As a great hope, he moved to Red Star Belgrade for the 2005/06 season . Just one season later, Stojković went to France for FC Nantes . From there he was loaned to the Dutch team Vitesse Arnheim for half a year in January 2007 .

Since July 2007 he has been under contract with Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, which awarded him to Getafe FC in 2009, to English first division club Wigan Athletic in January 2010 and to Partizan Belgrade in August 2010 . Together with Cléo , Stojković is the first player in 20 years who previously played for the Red Star and later moved to city rivals Partizan Belgrade . As a result, there were death threats, which escalated on October 12, 2010 at Serbia's European Championship qualifier against Italy in Genoa, so that Stojković went into the dressing room of the home team and refused to appear in fear of his own "fans". With Partizan Belgrade he won the Serbian Cup in the 2010/2011 season and the Serbian Championship three times in a row in the 2010/2011, 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 seasons . On January 25, 2014, his contract with Partizan expired and he decided not to extend the contract and to leave Partizan. During the winter break he moved to the Greek first division club Ergotelis . On January 27, he played his first game for Ergotelis against Panionios Athens . He could not prevail at Ergotelis, so he left the club at the end of the season. On June 10, 2014, he signed a three-year contract with the Israeli first division club Maccabi Haifa . In the 2015/2016 season he won the Israeli Cup with Maccabi Haifa .

On August 24, 2016, the English second division Nottingham Forest announced the commitment of Stojković.

In the national team

As a national player, he took part in the U-21 European Championship in Germany in 2004 and in Portugal in 2006 . He was runner- up in 2004 with the Serbia-Montenegro team .

With the Serbian-Montenegrin senior team , he was a reserve goalkeeper in Germany at the 2006 World Cup and qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa with the Serbian national team . He played all three preliminary round matches with the team.

With the Serbian Olympic team, he took part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2018 he also took part in the World Cup with Serbia and was used again in all three preliminary round matches; Serbia dropped out again in the preliminary round.
